This IS the Ride (Stop Waiting for It to Get Easier)

Shift how you think about this.. it will change your life.

Hey Agency Owners,

I used to have this problem.

When my stats went up, I'd be stressed and angry because it was hard to maintain and people were screwing things up.

When my stats went down, I'd be stressed and angry because it was hard to fix and people were screwing things up.

The only constant? Me being stressed and angry.

The Pattern I Couldn't See

Starting new projects? Stressed about potential failure.

Things going well? Stressed about maintaining success.

Things going badly? Stressed about fixing the problems.

I was waiting for some magical moment when business would get "easy."

When clients would stop being difficult.

When team members would stop making mistakes.

When the revenue would be predictable and growth would be smooth.

Spoiler alert: That moment never comes.

The Wake-Up Call

Then I had a near-death experience.

(Would've rather learned this in therapy, but whatever.)

Lying in that hospital bed, I realized something:

This chaos? This stress? This constant problem-solving?

This IS the ride.

Not something to endure until you reach some stress-free destination.

This IS the destination.

The ups, the downs, the people screwing up, the unexpected wins, the middle-of-the-night client emergencies...

That's not the annoying part before success.

That's what success actually looks like.

The Real Problem

Here's what I figured out:

No one ever solved anything as an angry person.

When you're pissed off about scope creep, do you find creative solutions?

When you're raging about a difficult client, do you make smart strategic moves?

Nope.

Anger makes you reactive.

Reactive people make sh*tty decisions.

Sh*tty decisions create bigger problems.

But when you rise above it... suddenly you can see the patterns. The real solutions. The strategic moves that actually work.

When to Fight, When to Flow

Don't get me wrong.

I'm not some zen master who never gets mad.

Just last month some contractor tried to screw me on a garage door repair.

I destroyed them. Chargebacks, reviews, the whole nuclear option.

But that's different.

Business problems = stay calm, find solutions.

People trying to steal from you = unleash hell.

Know the difference.

The Freedom

Now when I start new projects, there's no drama.

No emotional baggage about "what if this fails."

Because I signed up for the ride.

The uncertainty. The challenges. The occasional contractor who needs to be obliterated.

All of it.

And here's the weird part:

When you stop fighting the ride and start enjoying it...

Business gets easier.

Not because the problems disappear.

But because you get better at solving them.

Your Turn

What are you waiting to get easier?

What stress are you carrying that's just part of the game?

Maybe it's time to stop waiting for the "easy part" and start enjoying the chaos.

Because this is it.

This is the ride.

Buckle up,
Laura

P.S. The contractor thing was real. Sometimes you gotta remind people that "friendly business owner" doesn't mean "pushover." Choose your battles, but win the ones you pick.
